Jesus Preached, Fed, and Healed.

If people are comfortable, fed, and have water they can concentrate on the gospel message. The idea is to begin with a message that introduces Jesus as the only begotten son of God and to build upon that foundation by showing people how to live a good life before God.

The Scriptures teach that you are to give your extra things to those who have worked but still lack. The 2Co911 program allows people to have a platform to share the blessing they have with those who do not have. It is operated through the Richwood Chapel as an independent program.

The message of Jesus was one that is holistic and showed concern for the body, mind, and most importantly the soul. The basic human needs are not neglected, in fact, they are to be distributed by the saints to those who lack. The idea behind 2Co911 is to not just give a fish to the hungry but to go farther and provide a fishing pole so the Dominican pastors and congregations can help themselves. These people "know how to fish", they just need the tools to do so.

In the Dominican Republic 5 dollars is multiplied many times. Literally, 1 dollar is helpful, and nothing given is considered small. Will you consider helping the gospel message go forward by providing basic needs (tools to help themselves) for the saints in the Dominican Republic (DR)?

This program, 2Co911, is about providing help to our brothers and sisters in the DR. One thing that we like about this country is that they share. Sometimes people give money to the needy and it stops there. In the DR it is different - they share. Sometimes they take clothing to Haiti, provide hair cutting services, or share rice and other food. Even though they are restricted from good jobs and good opportunities to succeed they still share with those who have even less. And another thing we like - they have not asked us for money. They pray, and God gives burdens to people to share.

2Co911 is a program that is based on 2 Corinthians 9:11:

"Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God" or said another way, "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God (esv)."

But this I say, He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully. (7) Every man according as he purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. (8) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (9) (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains for ever. (10) Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) (11) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God. (12) For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; (13) Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;  (14)  And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.  (15)  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift (2 Cor 9:6-15).
